Cuppa Coffee Studios is a Canadian animation studio in Toronto, Ontario, Canada; it was founded by Adam Shaheen in December 1992. It specializes in both stop-motion animation and 2D animation.
Cuppa Coffee Studio has produced for networks around the globe including Disney Channel, Nickelodeon, HBO, ABC, MTV and Cartoon Network, among others. Cuppa Coffee Studios has won over 200 international awards in animation, such as the Pucinella Award for Best Special in 2006 and the Prix D'honeur at Annecy. The Studio is widely recognized as the largest Stop Motion Animation Studio in the world specializing in TV production.

FACIAL EXPRESSIONS
In any animated show, whether 2-D or Stop motion, we look for both design and animation opportunities to raise the bar and translate unique personality traits by animating in the exaggerated, humourous or physical oddities that make for entertaining viewing.

We like adding in "nuance" animation - this means adding in observational touches, characters that scratch their hair or poke at their ears from time to time, it makes them "real" and lovable and believable however absurd the comedy is.

In Stop Motion we use multiple ways of building character puppets to gain the types of expression which the story deserves.
From replacement mouth kits that  are uniquely sculpted  and present all the shapes of the mouth for speech through to "stunt" mouth shapes that give a more "Looney Tunes" sense of exaggeration.

Animating  blinks and eyebrows gives another facet to expression as does added armatured brows and cheeks to further facilitate all range of expressive behaviors.
